INCON with (28) invites the viewers to SHIFT work, offering opportunities to change the hanging to visually alter the look and sense of the event to suit their interests. Viewers will become participants and part of the collaboration by moving and positioning works. 

The SHIFT work event will only display 9 paintings at one time. 9 works will always remain turned to the wall.

SHIFT WORK is the product of all 3 collaborators.

Each SHIFT WORK was worked on by all 3 collaborators

SHIFT WORK explores uses of stencilling in composing artworks.

Each collaborator worked on 2 circles, 2 squares and 2 rectangles at every stage. 

SHIFT WORK comprises 18 works,  6 circular, 6 square and 6 rectangular.

Each SHIFT WORK employs a variety of interpretations on the uses and application of stencilling.

SHIFT WORK is the product of 3 stages of making.

Each collaborator had to work with the imagery they inherited.

At each stage of the production of SHIFT WORK the collaborators were limited to using 10 selected stencils.

Drawing Out Narratives…the fear of trying

INCON with(25)… explores drawing through a group of headings, Historical, Psychoanalytical, Psychological, Structural and Thematic. These are taken from Roland Barthes book, “S/Z”, where Barthes’ writing theories on ”the novel already read”, are transferred into a project of over 600 drawings offering“ drawings already seen”. Drawing styles in relation to things…situations…influences that influence…drawing out narratives…out there…the fear of trying.
